Interior / Exterior - Coral House

A residential block in Geneva called Coral House has been completed by Swiss Architects Group8.

The glazed facade has been covered in pink fabric sun screens that concertina up into the windows when unused.

Of course these shades of pink and red got our juices flowing to find out more.

Paro Tsechu Festival is one of the biggest events in Bhutan. It is held to honour Guru Rinpoche, who spread tantric Buddhism, that is practiced all over the Himalayas (often called Tibetan Buddhism).

Omizutori is a festival that takes place March 1st - 14th at the Todai-Ji Temple, Nara, Japan.
The ceremony is to cleanse people of their sins and to usher in the Spring of the New Year. It dates back 1,000 years and consists of Buddhist priests drawing up healing waters and waving burning pine torches in the air, drawing circles. It is believed that if you are showered with the fire sparks from these torches you will ignite be protected from evil spirits.

The Panton Chair has been identified as a classic of modern furniture design. One of the first models belongs to the Museum of Modern Art in New York and was made of fiberglass.

Note that many original designs weren't originally produced in this yummy colour, but thanks to reproduction and replica manufacturers we can all own our favourites designs in our favourite colour!
